Rescuing the captive [mode] user: an alternative approach to transport market segmentation
Economic literature: papers , articles , software , chapters , books. Rescuing the captive [mode] user: an alternative approach to transport market segmentation. Furthermore, conflicting interpretations from the point of view of decision makers and individuals may result in negative policy implications where the needs of captive users are neglected in favour of attracting new users. This study attempts to address these concerns by proposing an alternative segmentation framework that could be applied to any mode of transport, in any regional context, by users and decision makers alike to better guide the development of transport policies.

Using the results of a large-scale transportation survey, a series of clustering techniques are employed to derive this alternative approach for segmenting walkers, cyclists, transit and automobile users. As a wife, a mother, and a Christian, I found my heart breaking for Allison as if she were a friend, one I had known my entire life.

I loved the themes of forgiveness and faith throughout the story, and most of all, how the story emanated the point that God can make good out of any circumstance. I highly recommend this book. If you enjoy inspirational fiction, this one is for you. I would even go so far as to say that Dalaina May has the potential to be the next Karen Kingsbury.
Dalaina May lives with her husband, Dan, and their four rowdy boys in the jungles of Peru, where they serve on a church-pl. When she has a free moment, she appreciates good sushi and a back rub. Your book is about Allison, a Christian missionary who is taken captive by the very people she is trying to share the gospel with. I currently live in Peru working with a tribe that is culturally very much like the Shampiri. Many of the cultural practices and beliefs are based on things that I have seen and heard in our village.

Did God lay the story on your heart in a special way or at a specific time in your life? The first time my husband and I came to Peru, we spent a summer in the middle of the jungle where there were tribes like the Shampiri nearby. The idea for the book was birthed that summer as I thought about what my worst nightmare might be.

Would you mind sharing a little more about this? Isaac was the son of friends of mine who was killed in a car accident five years ago. He was months-old and died mere weeks before they were to leave for the mission field.

Is there anything you would like to share with your readers about how God called you and your family to the Peruvian Jungle? As far as our family, my husband was interested in tribal missions from childhood. Though I grew up on the mission field, I was not interested in missions until I was in college and fell in love with Jesus.
In the book, Allison had to make quite an adjustment to life with the Shampiri.
